Description

PETITE Antique French Octagon Center Side TABLE Renaissance Carved Oak c1890.

Direct from France, this SUPER PETITE size octagon table, ornately adorned, just like the full-size version, with an impressive silhouette and design. (NOTE: We have another ‘almost twin’ table, sold separately, just imagine having a pair!).

The solid oak octagon top has a wide carved band and carved beveled edges; below is a wide, carved ogee apron with scalloped carved trim between each leg.

Thick, carved, bulbous “cup and cover” legs, with turned and carved cross stretchers that provide stability and support.
Carved block joints reflect carved attention to detail EVERYWHERE.
Solid oak, well built by craftsmen of the period, c1890.

In today’s home this table would make a statement in any room, and placement is easy, as it can “float” in the middle of your room because there’s no “backside”.

Measurements: 27” ht. x 19” x 19” (flat edge to flat edge);
20.5” x 20.5” (corner edge to corner edge).

NOTE: All of our antiques are direct from Europe. I personally select each item for the quality, design, and unique characteristics that you will always find in our distinctive inventory at Geaux Vintage Antiques. …” with all that, why ‘Geaux’ anywhere else?” …See
