Description

1970s one-of-a-kind, bespoke Italian console with a unique, sleek Art Deco style design featuring Hollywood Regency glamour, masterfully balancing geometry and distinction. This statement piece is fitted with 2 stepped drawers in the frieze, edged in matching ivory white and gold glass, combining functionality with unmistakable luxury. Its distinctive legs are set at an enclosing oblique angle, subtly embracing and complementing the elegant decor on the top, which features a sophisticated triangular pattern, creating a harmonious interplay of clean lines. Encasing the entire surround and outlining the different colors is a finely crafted brass edging. The gray glass is of an irreplaceable pearly silver color, because pure silver leaf is embedded within the glass; this masterful technique imparts an exceptional depth of texture and a radiant, almost liquid luminosity.Further enhancing the artistry are refined accents of pure gold leaf in the glass and ivory white parts, adding a warm, precious counterpoint to the cool silver tones.
Every aspect of this piece—its form, its materials, and its craftsmanship—reflects a dedication to artistry and luxury that makes it not only a functional piece of furniture but also a true collectible work of mid-20th-century Italian design.
