Description
18th. Century English oak chest, c.1750
A great looking small scale chest with a molded rectangular top which opens up to reveal an open trunk interior that is lined with old newspapers. The front has three faux drawer fronts with the bottom fourth drawer being the only actual drawer. Brass pulls and key escutcheons really add to the charm of this chest. Good overall antique condition with age and use wear as expected in such an early piece. I think one of the top boards was replaced in the 19th. Century. Recently waxed and polishedSee
